New Student Orientation: Main Campus
Congratulations on your acceptance to Nova Southeastern University (NSU)! The Office of Orientation would like to welcome you to the Shark community! We are pleased to invite you and your family/guests to NSU's Orientation. This one-day program is a university requirement. Leading up to the start of the Winter term, this program is designed to assist students in making a smooth transition to the University and college life at NSU.
Orientation is the foundation of your college experience. You will get to meet other incoming students, as well as, current students, faculty, and staff. The program is led by upperclassman trained to be orientation leaders, who serve in various leadership positions on campus. Orientation Leaders serve as a personal resource to all incoming students, and can connect new students to areas of interest on campus. The program introduces all campus resources, academic and social involvement opportunities, and provides an introduction to one's academic programs, along with academic and community expectations. It is our goal at the end of the program that all students feel prepared to begin their courses, know how to navigate NSU and have gained a sense of Shark Pride.
Please note that:
- This mandatory program is for all incoming undergraduate students who are new to NSU, including: international students, all freshman and transfer students. There will be special sessions held for each academic program and international students.
- The last day to sign-up for orientation is December 20, 2013.
